Important Visa and Vaccination Information

It is recommended that you see your doctor 4-6 weeks before your trip as Passengers traveling to Kenya are required to carry proof of Yellow Fever vaccination if traveling through or from a country with risk of yellow fever.

Malaria is also present throughout Kenya. The CDC recommends that malaria prophylaxis and preventative measures be taken when traveling in Kenya.
- Travelers are encouraged to wear insect repellent and clothing that adequately covers arms and legs.
- Passengers traveling to Kenya are required to complete a mandatory Health Declaration Form. Click here to Register. You will receive a reminder email with this link prior to travel. You are required to submit daily health information to the "jitenge" platform for 14 consecutive days while in Kenya utilizing the same link.
- Your passport should be valid and expire no less than 6 months prior to your scheduled return date. It should also have a minimum of 3 or more entirely blank (unstamped) visa pages. It should also contain a Kenyan eVisa.
- A Kenyan eVisa allows you to enter the country once through one of Kenya's main airports, seaports or land border crossings, and explore the country for up to 90 days. The cost is included in your package. Visas will be processed 90 days prior to travel. Processing time is 10 business days.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
- The maximum amount of travelers will be 30.
- A deposit of $600 per person is required.
- All payments are nonrefundable.
- Your trip may be cancelled and all payments shall be forfeited if you are more than 14 days behind on any installment at the discretion of LUXE Worldwide Travel. We reserve the right to refuse to refund any portion of the trip, especially if Trip Protection criteria have not been satisfied (cancellation for work related reason, death/illness in immediate family, etc).
- Travel insurance is included in case of positive COVID tests, quarantine or medical assistance is needed.
- Should you cancel within 120 days of travel you may be eligible to receive a Partial Cash Refund or Partial Travel Credit less the cost of Insurance, tour/supplier package deposit and airline deposit at the discretion of LUXE Travel and the Tour Operator provided that all trip installments were paid on time.
- When making payments, the credit card processor’s fee of 4-5% is passed along to you to facilitate installment options. ACH payments available for those who want to minimize fees.
- Expect to spend transit time driving over roads that are often rough and bumpy in safari vehicles that may not be air-conditioned.
- There are many early mornings. Please be on time for departures to maximize your experience.
- Domestic airports may not be air-conditioned so dress appropriately for Mombasa departure and return flights as the pre-flight wait might be warm.
- Electricity in the camps may be provided by generator and may not be available 24 hours a day. Many of the accommodations are built in the traditional local style and may have no air-conditioning.
- Safari vehicles have high ground clearance and require agility to embark and disembark.
- During this tour, you may come into proximity of wild animals whose actions can be unpredictable.
- Certain inherent risks are involved which should be considered at your own discretion.

Due to limited space in safari vehicles, please consider packing your belongings in durable duffel bags with wheels. Traditional suitcases with rigid frames or hard plastic sides should be avoided.
Kenya's Covid-19 Policy (as of January 24, 2022)
- Majority of time spent on this excursion will be outdoors. This allows for plenty of ventilated, outdoor space for social distancing.
- This will be a group with a maximum of 30 Travelers, so private transfers will be utilized for all Itinerary-Specific Events.
- Masks are a requirement.
- Passengers traveling to Kenya are required to complete a mandatory Health Declaration Form. Click here to Register. You will receive a reminder email with this link prior to travel. You are required to submit daily health information to the "jitenge" platform for 14 consecutive days while in Kenya utilizing the same link.
- All passengers coming to Kenya must be in possession of a valid COVID-19 negative PCR test certificate conducted within 72 hours before departure regardless of the route of entry. Children below the age of five (5) years are exempt from this requirement.
- All passengers with flu-like symptoms at the point of entry, or those who develop clinical symptoms within 14 days of arrival shall be placed into quarantine and be tested for COVID-19 at a government testing facility.
- Any person who tests positive on antigen RPT at any point of entry will be isolated at a Ministry of Health designated facility or at home for returning Kenyans and residents for ten (10) days at the traveler’s own cost. Further they shall be subjected to a COVID-19 PCR test before discharge.
- Kenya requires a traveler to a have negative PCR based COVID–19 test carried out within 72 hours before travel and are from countries considered low to medium risk COVID–19 transmission areas which are exempt from quarantine which include travelers from The United States of America.
A COVID-19 viral test is required no more than one (1) day before you travel by air (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) into the United States from an international destination. Travelers must show a negative test result to the airline before boarding a flight. People who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19. Documentation of recovery includes a positive viral test during the past 90 days AND a signed letter from a healthcare provider or a public health official that states you have been cleared for travel. You will also be required to confirm that the information you present is true in the form of an attestation. These requirements do not apply to children under 2 years of age.

Cancellation & Change Policies
- Your travel package is nonrefundable. You may be asked to claim against your travel insurance should you need to cancel. Depending on the reason for your cancellation, you can be reimbursed between 40-75% of your payments toward your trip. The insurance cost is customized according to your vacation cost, age and state of residency.
- If selecting the payment plan, you MUST accept the auto-payment option when reserving your spot.
- There is a $50 fee to make any name or roommate changes to your reservation. There may also be an increase in your overall travel package rate as well should there be any itinerary alterations or additional upgrade requests as there may be a difference in airfare, hotel rate or seat cost.
- Final payment is due August 15, 2022. Late Payment Fees of $75 may be applied to all late installment payments at the discretion of LUXE Worldwide Travel.
- The cost of Travel Insurance will be deducted from your Refund / Credit in addition to your any non-refundable package fee by the Tour Operator, Airline or Hotel Supplier(s) to guarantee your room and seat.
- A minimum of 50% of the package/tour may be non-refundable to cover these costs.
- A minimum of 75% of the package/tour must be paid in order for your airfare to be ticketed and your space to confirm. You are responsible for any additional cost of airfare, package or hotel accommodation, should you become behind on your installments resulting in delayed ticketing, airfare price increases or hotel rate prices.
- Trips not paid in full by August 25, 2022 will be canceled without refund at the discretion of LUXE Worldwide Travel.
- If you miss more than 2 payments in a row or become 45 days behind in your payments, your trip will be canceled without refund at the discretion of LUXE Worldwide Travel.

Arise before dawn, and take off in a hot air balloon as you watch the breathtaking sunrise over the Maasai Mara. Drift above the beautiful landscape, watching wild game roam the vast plains below. The finale is a sumptuous champagne breakfast before beginning the Morning game drive.
Please note that the group’s morning game drive will begin while en route to pick you up, so the group may see other wildlife before you’ve rejoined the group.
Wildlife viewing, quantity and species of animals seen is dependent upon local conditions including weather, wind and seasonal migration patterns. The take-off time and the duration of the flight and tour may vary due to weather conditions.
Each balloon’s basket usually accommodates 12-14 guests. Price is subject to change based on availability.
We advice guests to wear warm clothing, and carry a camera to capture memories of the animals and the serene nature they will witness. Once settled, the balloon’s pilot will light up the banners and as the flames flare, the balloon inflates and rises to the skies. The entire journey lasts an hour, and upon landing, guests are treated to champagne and a breakfast. Total time including breakfast is approximately 2 hours.
